The Buena Vista Quiltmakers

The Buena Vista Quiltmakers is a cooperative founded by 10 local quiltmakers (representing 10% of households in Buena Vista) in October 2009. Starting only with needle and thread and fabric scraps, the quiltmakers completed bvq1 in December;  bvq2, begun at the same time, is in process of quilting.

Quilts are hand and machine pieced, hand quilted, and feature a rod pocket for wall display (when they're not keeping you warm!).

Each quilt is original and signed by the co-op or member in the quilting itself.

Proceeds from sales of co-op made quilts are used to continue the co-op and the Centro, and aid individuals and families as the co-op decides by consensus.

Proceeds from member made quilts benefit the co-op, the Centro and the member.
